As business travelers, we loved the quiet and historic atmosphere of the hotel and the town. the hotel's central location made it convenient for us to explore the town on foot. the breakfast options were excellent and we especially enjoyed the fresh Spanish tomatoes. the view from our room overlooking the square with swallows flying above was truly magnificent. the hotel's beautiful patio in the heart of the hotel added to its charm.
Felt like we were taken care of just like at home, with no complaints whatsoever.

access to an old town requires care but road signage to the hotel helped

This hotel is a great value for money, offering affordable prices in a prime location. Situated in a very quiet square, it provides a peaceful atmosphere for a relaxing stay. The staff pays attention to detail, ensuring that the rooms have all the necessary amenities. I particularly enjoyed the large bathrooms with a view and the good heating system, which kept the room cozy on chilly nights. The breakfast buffet was also impressive, offering a variety of options to start the day off right.
Everything was satisfactory.

The hotel's décor was charming, and it was centrally located, close to restaurants and sites. The staff was friendly and welcoming. It was nice to have a restaurant on-site that offered a range of tasty options.
Our stay during the New Year's holiday was not enjoyable due to the noise level. The hotel was crowded and chaotic, and we were disappointed that the staff didn't do more to keep the noise down.

Can't speak highly enough about this historic hotel set in the centre of a beautiful town. The associated restaurant was excellent, in fact the best meal I have had in Spain and I travel through there a lot. Worth going a little off the main track to find.

The location is excellent.
Staff knows no English. A wonderful concert - the Berlin String Quartet was playing next door. Staff could not tell us about this, and we came upon it by accident.

Great location for exploring the area with many local attractions and delicious restaurants nearby. the staff was friendly and helpful, always on hand to assist us with any requests we had during our stay. the room was spacious and comfortable with good amenities.
The hotel lacked a certain charm that we were expecting for our romantic getaway. the decor was dated and the bathroom was not as clean as it could have been.

Close to most of the historic buildings, with a nice view over the square.
No on site parking but not a real problem as there is plenty of free parking 5/10 mins away.

The location of the hotel is fabulous, round the corner from one of the most remarkable small chapel buildings in all Spain: the Sacra Capilla del Salvador: an absorbing and memorable gem. The squares of the old part of Ubeda are historic and beautiful, and the streets often have houses worth visiting. There is atmosphere and one has the sense of a town not dedicated to exploiting tourism (like Ronda and to some extent Carmona) but living its own interesting life. We went into a fascinating old Moorish/Jewish courtyard house of modest condition. Also an antique shop opposite the entrance to the Oratory and Museum of St John of the Cross - where he died - had pottery made by the family and some worthwhile objects. The location of the town is remarkable. The hotel Maria de Molina is also itself a fine noble's house on two floors with a central courtyard. The reception person was helpful about where to find free car-parking spaces.
The breakfast and the breakfast room were both truly attrocious: noisy (with the television on) and without anything nice to eat or drink. The service was poor and thoughtless. A great disappointment. Also the extractor fan in the bathroom of our room (which itself had a fine view of the side of the Ayuntamiento or townhall) sounded as if the third world war had broken out.
